Blonde Horizon

Boatyard Brewing Company’s Blonde Horizon was the first ale created at our research and development facility. This blond is made with a great combination of pale ale and crystal malts which produce a smooth caramel backbone. Then we blend in a little rye just to spice her up. The Palisades hops and traditional Irish ale yeast create one of the most drinkable ales you will ever meet. This blonde is great all year round, but shines on a hot summer afternoon!
Half-Century Porter

Half-Century Porter is the ale that started us down this journey. Pour a pint of this dark ale and you will discover a rich and luscious robust porter that delivers a balance of caramel, chocolate, and toffee. This porter can stand alone at the pub or with a gourmet dinner. Half-Century Porter will always leave you wanting another and, in our opinion, there isn’t anything wrong with that!
Lost Peninsula IPA

In an era of over-hopped IPA’s, Boatyard Brewing Company offers its Lost Peninsula IPA. Made in the true style of British IPA’s , you will find Lost Peninsula to provide a spectacular balance of crystal malts and hops. Lost Peninsula uses a hardy addition of Magnum hops for bittering and a combination of Centennial, Cascade, and Warrior hops to deliver amazing citrus and floral notes without overpowering what the malts have to offer. A British IPA just doesn’t get any better than this!

Midnight Star

We offer to the world our Midnight Star, a black cream ale that just has to be tried to be believed. The black malt disguises the rich caramel flavors that just burst through on every sip. Combine a hint of rye for spice and lactose for a silky smooth texture and you have an ale that is unbeatable. Don’t be afraid of the dark! Midnight Star will kiss your palate and leave you wanting for more.

Christmas Eve Porter (seasonal)

When the snows fall and the holidays are in the air, Christmas Eve Porter will deliver flavors that will make you wish Christmas every day. This ale is a robust porter made with a hint of black-strap molasses and rum-soaked caramelized raisins. When the fermentation is complete we top it off with pure vanilla. The result is a slightly sweet, rich and flavorful porter that will make your holidays special. Serve this ale slightly warmer than most to experience the full range of flavors.
Hold Fast Pale Ale
Plato: 13.5° ABV: 6.2%
Hold Fast is a simple, yet delicious pale ale made in a truly American style. The crystal malts and brown sugar add a touch of caramel and toffee flavors. A great selection of American grown hops provide for floral and citrus notes that make this pale ale very easy to drink. This pale ale is easy to drink and friendly with most foods.
Driftwood Bitters
Plato: 12.8° ABV: 4.7%
Driftwood Bitters is an easy to drink ESB, reminiscent of a good pull in Britain. To start, we combine pale ale malts with a dash of chocolate and crystal malts. A great boil with a collection of American and British hops and you get an ESB with a great bittering backbone. As with all true bitters, you will have a crisp, clean finish with just a wisp of hop aromatics. If you are new to bitters, this one might pull you in!

Calleigh’s Irish Stout
Plato: 14.8° ABV: 5.4%
Calleigh’s is a classic dry Irish stout made to drink all afternoon. One sip will reveal light pale ale flavors with just a hint of caramel. The black malt adds a dark color and a slight aroma of coffee. Finished with a blend of American and British hops, you have a stout that is crisp and easy to drink. Calleigh’s is truly a light beer, only dark!
Bimini Brown
Plato: 13.5° ABV: 5.5%
Bimini is a classic brown ale ready to be served on any occasion. Made from a blend of pale ale, crystal, and chocolate malts, this brown has a rich color and mild toffee flavor. We added a wee bit of rye to spice things up. The use of British ale yeasts and a variety of American hops makes this hybrid brown a pleasure to drink. Great with most foods; best with pumpkin pie!
Fair Winds Oatmeal Stout
Plato: 16.5° ABV: 5.7%
Fair Winds Oatmeal Stout is a rich, dark ale keeping true to its stout heritage. A classic recipe of pale ale and black malts is made smooth with the addition of flaked oats. Add to the mix a bit of crystal malt and brown sugar and you get a stout with notes of caramel, molasses, chocolate, and toffee. Once you had a pint of Fair Winds, it is hard to not to want another. The only thing that could make it better is a scoop of ice cream.

Shore Leave Honey Brown (Experimental)
Plato: 14.8° ABV: 6.2%
Shore Leave Honey Brown is a richer, fuller version of a traditional brown ale. We begin with a recipe filled with pale ale and crystal malts. To this we add a touch of rye for spiciness and chocolate malt for color and depth. We finish with a good dose of honey from local Southwest Michigan beekeepers. The result is an ale with a deep caramel and toffee flavors. The residual sweetness and honey flavors are balanced with a selection of American Hops.
Fallen Souls Imperial Stout
Plato: 21.0° ABV: 7.8%
Made in memory of lost friends, Fallen Souls is Boatyard Brewing Company’s incarnation of a big imperial stout without going overboard. A high gravity ale combing twice the malt of a traditional stout, Fallen Souls is ripe with flavor. This stout will pour with a thick, creamy head that lasts. With just one sip, you will taste an ale that is smooth on the tongue and full in the mouth. This hearty ale will stand up well with rich or spicy food or be enjoyed alone on a cool fall evening. Raise a glass to a lost friend!
